Global Academy Agency can trace its origins back to 2004, beginning as a community-driven initiative to assist families and students acclimating to American life and education. The organization, which was founded on the idea that every student should have access to worthwhile educational opportunities and a nurturing atmosphere, has steadily developed into a reliable liaison between host communities, schools, and international students.
The leadership and lifetime devotion of our founder, Mrs. Rady Mey Oum, whose combined commitment to global connectivity, education, and cultural preservation continues to shape our vision, acting as the foundation's compass.
Mrs. Oum has over 36 years of expertise in instructional development, multilingual education, and school leadership. She has advocated for fair access for multilingual students while serving as Tacoma Public Schools' Assistant Director for Multilingual Education. She is acknowledged for her contribution to the preservation and advancement of Khmer arts and culture outside of the classroom, having formed the Cambodian Classical & Folk Dance of the Northwest organization.
Her commitment to education, cultural heritage, and global opportunity laid the groundwork for Global Academy Agency’s purpose; to connect students across borders, broaden futures, and build communities rooted in respect, understanding, and opportunity.
Today, we continue to expand that mission, partnering with families, schools, and international communities to create meaningful pathways for academic achievement and cultural exchange worldwide.
